About

Next Month Movies

Next Month Movies is a clean, visual way to see what's hitting theatres and streaming next month at a glance. No endless lists — just a single poster‑style calendar you can scan in seconds, with hover previews and quick links to official sources. Titles are largely chosen based on what I’m personally interested in; if something you care about is missing, it’s nothing personal. I’m always open to suggestions for films to feature.

This site is part of the Next Month family: GamesMoviesSports.

From the creator

Hi! I’m a single, novice developer putting this together as a simple way to track what I’ll be watching next month — then thought others might find it handy too. I’m learning as I go on both the web and graphic design sides, so if you spot a bug or have a suggestion, please get in touch. I appreciate the help!

What you’ll find here

One page, one month

A single, high‑resolution calendar image designed to fit your screen in portrait or landscape. Each box = one film or notable release window.

Hover previews

Mouse over on desktop, or tap on mobile, to see an expanded still/poster and blurb. Tap the preview to open the official page or distributor listing.

Fast & lightweight

Optimised WebP posters and minimal scripts keep things snappy. No pop‑ups, no autoplay — just the essentials.

Theatrical & streaming

I note format and region when relevant (e.g., wide release, limited, streaming premieres). Availability varies — always check the linked source.

How it works

  1. I gather dates from studios, distributors, and official festival/streaming announcements.
  2. I design the month’s calendar and assign each title a box.
  3. Hover/tap a box to preview and click through for the source.
  4. If dates shift, I update the calendar and notes as quickly as possible.
Heads up on release dates: Theatrical runs and streaming premieres change often, and time zones/regions can shift dates by a day. Treat the calendar as a guide and use the official site linked from each hover preview for the latest info.

FAQ

When does the new calendar come out?

The new month’s calendar drops on the 1st of each month (Sydney time, Australian Eastern Time). Because of time zones, it may appear a day earlier or later where you are.

How often do you update?

I build the calendar for the upcoming month and update when major dates move. Minor tweaks can roll in mid‑month.

Which regions do you cover?

Dates generally follow wide international announcements. Regional differences do happen; check the linked studio/distributor source for your area.

Why does a date differ by a day where I live?

Time zones, regional rollouts, and platform storefront timing can shift dates by a day. Always use the official link in the hover preview for your region’s latest info.

Can I request a correction or suggest a title?

Absolutely — send an official source link and I’ll verify.

Do you have a newsletter or RSS?

Yes! We send 2 emails per month: a sneak peek mid-month and the full calendar at month start. You can subscribe using the envelope+ icon in the footer. RSS is on the roadmap.
